API Limits

Batch API

FieldFX uses Batch API requests to sync metadata between FieldFX Back Office and FieldFX Mobile.

There is a per user, per app, per hour limit for Batch API requests.

If you exceed the Batch API request limit, you can’t sync and must wait an hour before you can sync again.

REST API

FieldFX uses REST API requests to sync records between FieldFX Back Office and FieldFX Mobile.

There is an org-wide, 24-hour rolling limit for REST API requests.

The REST API request limit varies based on the version of Salesforce you are using. If you exceed the REST API request limit, you can’t sync and must complete one of the following:

To view the limit for your org,

  1. Go to Setup.

  2. Enter "system" in the Quick Find box

  3. Select System Overview.

  • Contact Salesforce Support to request a temporary REST API request limit increase.

  • Contact your Salesforce Account Executive to purchase extra API calls and increase the REST API request limit permanently.

  • Wait 24 hours and sync again

Chatter REST API

The Attachments feature in FieldFX has been deprecated and replaced with the Files API. To upload files to tickets or jobs, make sure the FXL File Viewer Lightning Components is added to the ticket or job record page.

FieldFX uses Chatter REST API requests to data sync attachments between FieldFX Back Office and FieldFX Mobile.

There is a per user, per app, per hour limit for Chatter REST API requests.

If you exceed the Chatter REST API request limit, you can’t sync attachments and must wait an hour before you can sync attachments again.
