FieldFX Mobile App Ticket Page

Use the Ticket page to add and update tickets in FieldFX Mobile App.

Ticket Listing

This screen shows the tickets the logged in user can access.

Search

Use this search box to search for tickets matching what is entered. Any of the columns are scanned for the matching entered term and the results. After entering the term, click /tap Enter to conduct the search.

Sort

You can sort the results by the following:

The list is shown with organized by the these columns:

A ticket in FieldFX Mobile App has these sections:

Ticket Date

Use the Select a date button to set the date.

Warehouse

Tap the field to select a warehouse. If you have multiple warehouses, you can use the Search for…​ field.

Category

The category for the ticket.

Notes

Tap into the field to add any notes.

The device’s on screen keyboard appears.

Work Start Date

The start and end Work Date See Use Date and Time Picker on how to set the date and time.

Back Office Details

Job
(Read Only)

The name of the job for this ticket.

Office
(Read Only)

The ID for the office selected in the Office field.

Total Amount
(Read Only)

The total amount of ticket items on the ticket.

Total Cost
(Read Only)

The total cost of the ticket items.

Ticket ID
(Ready Only)

The ID for the ticket.

Tracking Number
(Ready Only)

The tracking number assigned by FieldFX.

Status
(Ready Only)

The ticket’s current status.

Geolocation
(Not Valid for Windows Devices)

When the job was created or modified, the user established the geolocation of the device at the time of creation/modification.

You device must have a GPS receiver or chip to capture the Geolocation. Geolocation aren’t supported on Windows devices and the information can’t be entered manually.

For iPads and Android tablets that have a GPS receiver, use the Map pin button to capture the current device’s GPS coordinates. You can use the Clear button to remove the Geolocation data or the Undo button.

Step-by-Step Guides

When dealing with Tickets using the FieldFX Mobile App, you can:

Access Tickets in the FieldFX Mobile App

You can access tickets one or two ways:

  • Tap the Menu Icon and select Tickets.

    All the tickets are listed.

  • Open a job and tap on the Tickets tab.

    All the for that job are listed.

Add or Edit a Ticket

In the FieldFX Mobile App, you can add new ticket.

  1. Open a job from the list of available jobs.

  2. Once the job is open, tap the Tickets tab.

    The tickets attached to the open job appears.

    If the job has no tickets, No Tickets appears.
  3. Select a ticket type.

    Ticket types vary on how they were set up in the Org’s Back Office.

  4. Tap + Add New Ticket.

    A new Ticket window appears.

    The window has three tabs: Field Ticket, Field Ticket New, and Tax_Surcharge.

    Only certain fields can be edited.
  5. Complete the different sections of the ticket.

  1. To open a ticket, select Tickets.

  2. Select the ticket.

  3. Select Items on the top nav bar.

    If any items exist on the ticket, they would appear in a grid.

    If no items exist on the ticket, No Ticket Items appears on the screen.

  4. Tap Add a new item icon.

    The Ticket Item Wizard displays.

  5. Select from the category to see the list of ticket items matching that category.

    The filters along the top display the available ticket items.

    1. Choose from the filters for the item type you can add.

      The categories shown may be different depending on how tickets are set up in FieldFX Back Office.

      Item Type Description

      Price Book

      Filter to view price book items records in the job’s price book.

      Use the All, Equipment, Labor, Services, or Supplies entry on the side to further filter the price book items by record type.

      People

      Filter to view contact records linked to the labor catalog items in the job’s price book.

      The contacts can be organized by their location which appears on the side.

      Equipment

      Filter to view the equipment records in the job’s price book.

      The equipment records can further be filtered and grouped by category on the side.

      Scheduled Crew

      Filter to view the crew records scheduled to work on the job.

      Scheduled Equipment

      Filter to view the equipment scheduled for the job.

  6. To quickly locate an item, use the keyword search bar.

    As you type in characters, tickets that match appear in the list.

  7. Select an item type.

  8. Select a record type.

  9. Select the desired item or items.

    The item has a selected icon Selected icon.

  10. Select Add to finish.

    Child items get added automatically when you add their parent item.
  11. Select Yes or No to add details for the item before its saved.

    If Yes, add the ticket item details.

    The Ticket Item grid shows the item you have added.

Search and Sort Tickets

  1. At the main Jobs list screen, you can use the Search For…​ search field to find a job.

  2. Enter the desired text.

    The list automatically populates with jobs matching the search criteria.

  3. To sort the list of available jobs, tap in the Sort field and choose either:

    • Name

    • Tracking Number

    • Record Type ID

    • Status

    • Price Book

    • Last Modified by ID

    A blue bar next to the column indicates what is selected.

    The list of jobs sorts on the chosen option.
