Report Viewer

Introduction

Use the Report Viewer to run FX Reports and attach them to records.

PDF Reports

The Report Viewer displays as follows when you run a PDF report.

  1. Click Edit to enable Edit mode and display a page of items you need to complete on the report.

  2. With Edit mode enabled, you can:

    • Click a signature line to capture a digital signature.

    • Click an image placeholder to attach an image.

  3. Click Edit again to disable Edit mode and save your changes.

  4. Click Add to finish and attach the report.

Running FX Reports

Step-by-Step Guides

FieldFX Back Office

  1. Open the record.

  2. Click the report’s button.

    A print preview displays

  3. (Optional) Add a signature to the report:

    If you are going to use a Topaz signature pad to sign the report, connect the signature pad to your device before clicking the signature line.

    1. Click the signature line.

    2. Draw a signature.

      Click the Delete button to clear the capture and try again.

    3. Click Save.

  4. Click Add to attach the report to the record.

FieldFX Mobile

  1. Open the record.

  2. Select Reports on the sidebar.

    If the report you want to run doesn’t display, select Show All and select the report on the sidebar.

  3. (Optional) Add a signature to the report:

    If you are going to use a Topaz signature pad to sign the report, connect the signature pad to your device before clicking the signature line.

    1. Tap the signature line.

    2. Draw a signature.

      Tap the Delete button to clear the signature and try again.

    3. Click Save.

  4. Click Add.

  5. (Optional) Print the report:

    1. Select Print.

    2. Print the report on a printer connected to the device.

  6. Select Save to attach the report to the record.

Viewing FX Reports Attached to Records

FieldFX Back Office

  1. Open the record.

  2. Locate the report in the attachments list.

  3. Click View.

Set Active checkbox in AppSetting > ReportAsFiles

  1. From Setup, enter Custom Metadata in the Quick Find box.

  2. Select Custom Metadata Types.

  3. In the AppSetting row, click Manage Records.

  4. In the AppSetting section, click Edit in the ReportAsFiles row.

  5. In AppSetting (Managed), click Edit.

    Only certain attributes can be edited. Since it is managed, you can only edit the Protected Component, Active, and Value fields. All other fields locked.
  6. In AppSetting Edit,

    1. Click Edit.

    2. Select the Active checkbox.

      If the Active checkbox isn’t present, you will have to edit the layout and add it. You only have to do this once.

      1. In AppSetting (Managed), click Edit Layout.

      2. Find the Active button.

      3. Click and drag it down to the AppSetting Sample section to just above the Value field.

        Active with a checkmark appears.

      4. Click Save.

    3. For the Value, select True.

  7. Click Save.

FieldFX Mobile

  1. Open the record.

  2. Select Reports on the sidebar.

  3. Select the Show Existing Reports button.

  4. Select the report.
