FieldFX 25R1 Release

This release has the following changes:

Job Inventory

  • A new FieldFX module that allows customers to manage job-related inventory, from serialized assets to consumables and labor available in both Back Office (called Job Resources) and Mobile

  • Ability to create job resources out of quote or price book items in Back Office

  • Create and use delivery tickets to move inventory from the warehouse to the job site

  • Create field tickets in the new FieldFX Mobile app out of Job Resources to decrement job inventory that has been shipped on site

  • Create return tickets to return serialized assets and un-used consumables to the warehouse via the new FieldFX Mobile app

  • New Job Resource Object called FX5__JobResource__c

    • The Job Resource object in FieldFX (in Back Office and Mobile) to help an Operations Manager plan a job and add the needed resources

Delivery Ticket Changes

This enhancement is available in FX5 package versions greater than version 1.630.

When working with Delivery Tickets and Job Resources, the system now automatically manages shipped and delivered quantities and enforces stricter validation rules.

Automatic quantity and status updates

The quantities automatically update when the status of the delivery tickets change as follows:

The Qty Shipped field on the related Job Resource is updated with the Delivery Ticket Item quantity.

Received
(status is set to a status where
Mark Delivery Ticket as Received = true):

The Qty Delivered field on the related Job Resource is updated with the Delivery Ticket Item quantity.

  • The Job Resource Status is set to On Site (if it is not already set).

Validation and item restrictions

The following changes keep Job Resource quantities and statuses accurate and consistent, and prevent over-shipping or use of Labor/Service items on Delivery Tickets:

  • Labor or Service items can be no longer added

  • Only items where Shipped Quantity ⇐ Quantity can be added which prevents users from shipping more than the quantity required on the Job

Job Logs

  • A new FieldFX module for both back office and Mobile.

  • Will replace ticket log feature in RN app. Functionality in both Back Office and in FieldFX Mobile App

  • Create logs from either a job or ticket and save them under the new job log object

  • Allow copying values from the previous log in both Back Office and Mobile

  • Automatically copy forward the stop time of the previous log, in the context of a job and log record type, to the new log’s start time

  • New Job Log Object

    • FieldFX has a specific object (in Back Office and Mobile) where mobile users can create log entries on a specific job. Field users can capture activities that are happening on a job throughout the length of a job. This helps some customers since they require their users to track their activities at the job level.

FieldFX Mobile App Grid Enhancement

  • Add ability to dynamically parent items within the grid in the new Mobile app

  • Allow picking items from a price book hierarchy, instead of only from within the job’s price book in the new Mobile app
