Edit FieldFX Connect Policies

Starting with FieldFX Base Managed Package v1.650, the JSON Web Token (JWT) is being used instead of the Current Session ID.

Access App Manager in Org Setup

  1. In your org’s setup, use the Quick Find and enter App Man.

  2. Select App Manager.

  3. Continue with Change Connected (Managed) Action in FieldFX Connect.

Change Connected (Managed) Action in FieldFX Connect

  1. In the App Manager section, find FieldFX Connect.

  2. Next to FieldFX Connect, click the Manage dropdown option.

  3. In the FieldFX Connect connected app, click Edit Policies.

  4. In the OAuth Policies section, change Permitted Users dropdown from All users may self-authorize to Admin approved users are pre-authorized.

    A dialog appears warning that this option results in all users currently using this app being denied access and to reference the Connect Apps OAuth Usage Report if unsure of using the app.
  5. In the JWT-Based Access Token Settings for Named Users, select 30 Minutes from the dropdown menu.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Back at the FieldFX Connect connected app screen,

    Manage Profiles Manage Permission Sets
    1. Scroll down to the Profiles section,

    2. Click Manage Profile.

    3. Select the profile to use the FieldFX Connected App.

    4. Click Save.

    1. Scroll down to the Permission Sets section.

    2. Click Manage Permission Sets.

    3. Select the permission sets that can use the FieldFX Connected App.

    4. Click Save.

    This depends on the security configuration in your org.
