Job Resource Use

With the job resource setup in back office, job resources can now be added to jobs, deleted from a job, edited, and change a job resource status.

Add a Job Resource

You can add a Job resource from a quote or a price book.

Job Resources can only be added, edited, or deleted in Back Office and not in the FieldFX Mobile App.

From a Quote Item

When you create a job resource from a quote item, all the quote item fields values are copied forward that have the same API Name in the Job Resource field. You can specify the number of items to add for each quote item for labor and serialized equipment type items. One job resource needs to be created based on the number in the quantity field (ex. Qty: 4 requires 4 job resources).

If you add a non-serialized item as a job resource and the item already exists, the job resource’s quantity is increased.

  1. Open a Job.

  2. Click Add From > Quote in the item picker.

  3. Select a quote item.

  4. If more items are needed, change the number in # OF ITEMS.

Depending on the type of price book item and the quantity entered, the number of those items may appear as separate line items in the Job Resource grid for serialized assets or adjusts the quantity for consumables.

The price book item appears as a line item in the job resource grid.

  5. Click Add Job Resource and the items are added to the Job Resource grid.

  6. Change the status of each job resource in the STATUS column from Not Shipped (Default) to New.

From a Price Book

You can create a job resource from a price book. After you have created the job resource from a price book, all the price book item (PBI) fields are copied to the new job resource. The user can specify the number of items to add for each PBI of labor and serialized equipment type. Each unit added in the number of items field must have its own Job Resource Record.

If you add a non-serialized item and the item already exists as a job resource, the quantity is incremented.

  1. Open a Job.

  2. Click on Add From > Price Book in the item picker.

  3. Select a price book item.

  4. If more items are needed, change the number in # OF ITEMS.

Depending on the type of price book item and the quantity entered, the number of those items may appear as separate line items in the Job Resource grid for serialized assets or adjusts the quantity for consumables.

  5. Click Add Job Resource and the items are added to the Job Resource grid.
