In the FieldFX Mobile app, you can access, add, and update jobs.

When you access jobs in the FieldFX Mobile App, a list of the available jobs are shown.

The Details tab for a FieldFX Mobile job has these sections:

Tap to pull up a selection list and choose a contact. |

The type of segment for the job. |

Whether the job uses AltSync. |

Tap the field to select the price book to use for the job. |

Any notes for the job. |

Enter the name of the contact for the job. |

For iPads and Android tablets that have a GPS receiver, use the Map pin button to capture the current device’s GPS coordinates. You can use the Clear button to remove the Geolocation data or the Undo button. |

The longitude coordinates for the job site.

Requested Start Date |
The requested start date and start time for the job. |

Projected Start Date |
The projected start date and time of the job. |

The projected end of the job. |

Quote |
The quote attached to the job. Tap the field to select a quote from the choices shown. |

Total Amount |
The total amount in the quote (pulled from back office). |
||
Total Cost |
The total cost on the quote (pulled from Back Office). |

Customer PO Amount |
The amount of the customer PO. |
||
Tracking Number |
The system automatically assigns a tracking number. In the case of a copied job, the tracking number is incremented by one to the tracking number from the job it was copied from. |

Status |
Upon initial job creation, this field is blank. |

Created by ID |
The ID of the user. |
||
Last Modified by ID |
The profile name of the last person to modify the job. |
||
Created Date |
The date the job was created. |
||
Last Modified Date |
The date the job was last modified. |
Step-by-Step Guides
On the Jobs page of the FieldFX Mobile App, you can do the following:
Access Jobs in FieldFX Mobile App
When you open the FieldFX Mobile App, the list of available jobs automatically opens.
Only jobs that the mobile user has been assigned to on the Job record will appear in the list. |

Search and Sort Jobs

At the main Jobs list screen, you can use the Search For… search field to find a job.

Enter the desired text.
The list automatically populates with jobs matching the search criteria.

To sort the list of available jobs, tap in the Sort field and choose either:

Name
-
Customer
-
Office *
A blue bar next to the column indicates what is selected.
The list of jobs sorts on the chosen option.

Use the Date/Time Picker
Some fields in Jobs and Tickets in the FieldFX Mobile App require a date and time to be set.
To set the date and time, tap in the field. The left side of the field brings up a calendar where you can choose the date. The right side of the field brings up scroll wheels where you can choose the time. The date and time pickers appear different for FieldFX Mobile depending on whether you are accessing it on a Windows device, iPad, or Android tablet. |

Tap in the left side of the Date field to open the Date/Time Picker.
The current date and time is inserted.

To add or change the date, tap the date to open the date picker.
Use the ← or → arrows to move to the previous or next months. To change the year, hover over the year and use the ↑ or ↓ arrows. Tap on the new date.
If the date isn’t the current date, tap TODAY to insert the current date.

To change the time, tap on the time to open up the time picker.
Use the ↑ or ↓ arrows to change the hour and minute.
To switch between AM and PM, tap it.
Add or Copy a Job

You can add a new job or copy the currently opened job in the FieldFX Mobile App.

To copy a job, tap Copy on a currently opened job.
To create a new job, tap + New Job.
The following the steps are the same whether you are copying a job or creating a new job.
You may have different layouts depending on the record type of the job. These job types are shown across the top of the new job. If the new job is a copy of an existing job, you can’t change the record type of the copy. If you can’t create a job, check with your system admin to ensure that your user profile has the right object permissions to create the job. -
If you’re creating a new job and your organization has multiple job types, select the appropriate job type.

Enter the specifics for the new job using the fields in the Job Details section.
If you have created a copy of an existing job, change the information to match the new parameters for the new job copy. In the title of the window, it says "Copy Job". Required fields have a red asterisk. To erase the value in the field, click the loopback error icon. -
If you have an iPad or Android and it has a GPS receiver, click the Pin button to capture the current GPS coordinates.
This is not enabled for Window’s devices. -
Tap to save the job.
