Release Channels

Introduction

A release channel hosts a version of FieldFX Mobile. FieldFX by ServiceMax, Inc. uses release channels to roll out FieldFX Mobile updates. There are eight release channels; four that use Sync 4.0 and four that use Sync 3.0.

Sync V4 Beta

  • Use new features as soon as they are released

  • Receive updates every two weeks

Sync V4

  • Use new features once they have passed testing on the Sync V4 Beta channel

  • Receive updates every two weeks

V4 Quarterly Beta

  • Use new features once they have been released for a while

  • Receive updates every quarter

V4 Quarterly

  • Use new features after they hae been released for a while

  • Receive updates every quarter

Assigning Users to Release Channels

Open a user record and select a Mobile Version.

Accessing FieldFX Mobile

The URL you use to access FieldFX Mobile doesn’t affect your designated release channel.

The Mobile Version in your user record controls your release channel.
