Master Data Setup
When using FieldFX by ServiceMax, you need to set up the following:

Accounts are records that store information about customers or company offices. FieldFX uses two types of accounts: Customers and Offices.

Business Segments are divisions of your company dedicated to performing specific services, such as drilling or waste disposal.

Catalog Items are items billed to customers.
-
Classifications categorize similar Catalog Items together.

Contacts store information about employees and customer representatives as User Contacts or Job Contacts.

Equipment records represent machinery and tools used on jobs.

Preventative Maintenance Schedules set the maintenance intervals for equipment and feature criteria that determine when to perform maintenance.

Price Book Items are billable items in a price book, such as labor or a service.

Price Books are a collection of billable items in a price book, such as labor or a service.

Qualifications are certifications or licenses required to work on a job.

Quote Item Record Types classify quote items which inherit their record types from linked Catalog Items.

Quote Types classify quotes.
-
Ticket Item Record Types classify ticket items which inherit their record types from linked Catalog Items.

Ticket Types classify tickets.

Warehouse Items are the equipment and supplies stored in Warehouses.
The Warehouse Item record has been deprecated and is no longer supported or updated. Use the Stock Item record instead which requires a FX EAM license. Once FX EAM is installed, follow the steps in to add stock items. |

Warehouses represent the physical warehouses that store equipment and supplies.

Wells store information about oil and gas wells.

Work Order Templates define the work orders that record equipment maintenance.
