Manage Sync Configurations Records

In FieldFX Back Office, you can view, edit or delete sync configuration records.

View Sync Configuration Records

  1. Use the App Launcher in FieldFX Back Office and enter Sync.

  2. Select Sync Configurations.

    A table of sync configuration records appear in a table.

Add a Sync Configuration

You can create a sync configuration by click New. Specify the options that are shown in Create a Sync Configuration.

The Contact field is required when creating a new sync configuration.

Import Sync Configurations

You can import existing sync configurations and up to 50,000 records at a time.

  1. Click Import.

    A workflow opens that walks you through the data import.

  2. In the Custom objects tab, click Sync Configurations.

  3. In the What do you want to do? block, select either Add new records, Update existing records, or Add new and update existing records.

  4. Drag your CSV data file from its location to the Where is your data located? > Drag CSV file her to upload.

    Once you drag in the CSV file, the block underneath shows the filename, character code (which can be changed if there is no checkmark) and how the values are separated by (which can be changed to Tab if Comma is selected).

  5. Click Next.

  6. In the Edit Field Mapping: Sync Configurations screen, a table appears showing an Edit, Mapped Salesforce Object and CSV Header.

    Your file has been auto-mapped to existing Salesforce fields, but you can edit the mappings if you wish. Unmapped fields will not be imported.

  7. Click Next to start the import process.

    Click Previous to return to the previous step or Cancel the import process.

Add new records

Select an options in these dropdown:

At Trigger workflow rules and processes?, select the checkbox to apply for new and updated records.

Update Existing Records

Select an options in these dropdown:

Add new and update existing records

Edit Sync Configuration Records

  1. Click the option arrow at the end of the row for the record to edit.

  2. Select the Edit option.

  3. At the <record name> modal, you can change:

    Changed values appear in yellow. An undo icon appears in the corner where the selected value can be undone.

    • Sync - Job Crew Only checkbox
      This checkbox controls the jobs that the user sees in FieldFX Mobile by job crew assignment. If checked, the user only sees jobs if they are in the job crew. If not, the user sees any job matching the other criteria specified in the sync configuration.

    • Office

    • Account

    • Job Type

    • Segment

If these values are blank, the user sees all jobs in FieldFX Mobile. If there is a specific value, the user only sees jobs matching that criteria.

Read-only information is also shown consisting of:

  • User Login Name - the user who is logged in

  • Created By - the user creating the record

  • Last Modified By - the user who modified the record

  1. Click Save to save changes or Save & New to create another sync configuration.

Clone a Sync Configuration

You can clone a Sync Configuration record.

  1. Open the record you want to clone.

  2. Click Clone.

  3. Complete using fields when adding a new sync configuration.

Delete Sync Configuration Records

  1. Click the option arrow at the end of the row for the record to edit.

  2. Select the Delete option.

    At the Delete Sync Configuration modal, there is a prompt asking if you are sure you want to delete.

  3. Click Delete.

    The record disappears from the list.
