FieldFX Mobile App (React Native)

Work Orders in Mobile

  • Access a top-level Work Orders module with list, search, sort, and detail views driven by Sync Profile layouts

  • Create and edit Work Orders with validations and mobile field updates. Deletion of Work Orders from mobile is disabled by design

  • Manage Work Tasks and Task Steps with grid editing, select/copy/delete, and layout-driven fields

  • Track Task Labor with start/end times and duration, including select/copy/delete

  • Issue Planned Stock to Work Orders; adjust issue quantities and support corrective negative issues within safe bounds. Creates Inventory Transactions on sync

  • Issue Unplanned Stock from a chosen Warehouse with filtering, search, and multi-select; planned stock lines are auto created to reflect usage

  • Generate customer-facing documents from report templates associated with a Work Order

  • Generate and access DataGuide forms from the Work Order context, when enabled for the profile

Forms, Documents, Files, and Images

  • Delete files added in the app before sync, subject to Sync Profile permissions

  • Select multiple images at once when adding them to a record

Admin Tools and Sync

Sync Profile Manager v2

  • Set the landing page for profiles that have access to multiple top-level objects, such as Job, Ticket, or Work Order

  • Mobile filters automatically add required fields to the hidden section of the associated lookup layout to streamline setup

DataGuide Migration Tool

  • Admin Portal tool to migrate SVMX DG forms between environments in FieldFX, with validation that FX5 and SVMX components are installed

Sync Configuration Tool

  • The new SyncLink object centralizes user-entity assignments for Jobs, Work Orders, Quotes, and Price Books, supporting both automatic and manual entries

  • Bulk Entry provides an interface and API for creating multiple Sync Configurations through a wizard or programmatically, with guardrails against duplicates

  • Legacy Sync Config is deprecated to reduce confusion and technical debt in new installations

Sync volume guardrail: Sync Profile Manager (SPM) now warns when a lookup or transaction object configuration would sync more than 200,000 records to mobile. Review object filters to reduce payloads and improve performance.

Back Office (Managed Package) and Lightning

Job Resource Bundles

  • Bundle parent and child items consistently across Jobs, Delivery Tickets, and mobile-created Field Tickets. This prevents bundles from splitting across multiple Delivery Tickets and enforces a parent quantity of 1

  • Child items retain Job Resource links on Delivery Tickets, and children inherit On Site status from Service and Labor parents

Lightning Components and Grids

  • The FX Image Carousel LWC uploads and displays images associated with a record and its report template output

  • Grid V2 improves time field editing to better match date and date-time field behavior

  • Filtering by custom formula checkboxes in FXL Data Grid no longer shows a misleading boolean bind expression error

Operational Hardening

  • Prevent assigning expired Price Books to active Jobs and Quotes, avoiding downstream pricing conflicts

  • HTML-to-PDF conversion reliability is improved, resolving intermittent 500 errors during conversion and scheduling flows

Schedule & Dispatch (S&D)

  • The upgraded Timeline provides smoother drag-and-drop, resizing, and modern performance

  • Resource pickers speed up assignment with Select All and default checkboxes for Equipment and Contact panels

  • Timeoff filtering – filter contacts in the resource picker based on scheduled time off to prevent assignment conflicts

  • Work Order on equipment timelines – work orders now display on equipment timelines to provide better visibility into upcoming work and associated resources

  • Toggle qualifications on/off - easily switch between showing and hiding optional qualifications in the resource picker to focus on required qualifications when needed

  • Sorting of planning records - sort planning records by scheduled start time, end time, or duration to better organize and prioritize assignments

Inventory and EAM Schema Updates

  • Warehouse now includes an Office (Account) lookup constrained to the Office record type for consistent reporting and integrations

  • WorkTaskStep now includes a Work Order lookup, with post-install backfill for relational consistency

Timecards

  • An override mechanism allows editing specific ticket item fields, such as contact, quantity, and start and end times, even when associated with a locked timesheet. Changes stay on the ticket item and do not alter the timecard

Setup, Prerequisites, and Compatibility

  • FieldFX Mobile App features require Sync Profile Manager layouts and appropriate module enables (Work Orders, DataGuide, Inventory–related lookups)

  • For DataGuide migration, ensure both FX5 and SVMX DG components are present before running the Admin Portal migration tool

  • SyncLink complements ad hoc assignment patterns for Jobs, Work Orders, Quotes, and Price Books

Do I need to enable anything to see Work Orders in the Mobile App?

Yes. In Sync Profile Manager V2, enable the Work Orders module for the profile and include Work Order-related objects such as Tasks, Task Steps, Task Labor, Planned Stock, and Inventory Transactions. You can also set Work Orders as the profile landing page.

An EAM license is also required.

How does issuing stock from mobile affect inventory?

Issuing planned or unplanned stock from mobile creates Inventory Transactions tied to the Work Order when the device syncs. Negative issues are supported for corrections but are constrained to prevent inventory gains.

What changed with Sync assignments?

The SyncLink object unifies user-entity assignments across Jobs, Work Orders, Quotes, and Price Books for both automatic and manual scenarios. Use Bulk Entry and the API for mass creation while avoiding duplicates.
