Manage Task Labor in the FieldFX Mobile App

Task labor records track time spent working on a work order or a work task.

In the FieldFX Mobile App,

  • Task labor records created from a work order are visible from both the work order and any associated work task

  • Task labor records created from a work task are visible only from that specific work task

Create a Labor Entry

  1. Open a work order (see View Work Order Details).

  2. Navigate to the Labor tab.

  3. Tap the Add (+) button to create a new labor entry.

  4. Fill in the required fields, including the mechanic, start time, and end time. The duration is calculated automatically.

  5. Tap Save.

    To edit labor entries in bulk, tap Edit to enter grid edit mode. To copy or delete entries, tap Select, choose the entries, and then tap Copy or Delete.

From a Work Task

  1. Open a work order.

  2. Navigate to the Tasks tab and open a work task.

  3. Navigate to the Labor tab.

  4. Tap the Add (+) button to create a new labor entry.

  5. Fill in the required fields, including the mechanic, start time, and end time.

    The duration is calculated automatically.

  6. Tap Save.

    The new labor entry is linked to the work task and is also visible from the parent work order.

Edit Labor Entries

  1. Open a work order or a work task.

  2. Select the Labor tab.

  3. Open an existing labor record or tap Edit to enter grid edit mode.

  4. Modify the required fields.

  5. Save your changes.

Copy or Delete Labor Entries

  1. Open a work order or a work task.

  2. Select the Labor tab.

  3. Tap Select.

  4. Select one or more labor entries.

  5. Tap Copy or Delete.
