Credit Memos (Deprecated)

The Credit Memo functionality in FieldFX has been deprecated. Contact your account representative for another solution.

Introduction

You can issue credit memos to reduce the amount owed by a customer for an invoice. You can also apply a credit memo to one or multiple invoices for a customer.

To use credit memos, you must have the following:

Step-by-Step Guides

You can add a credit memo, apply a credit memo to an invoice, or complete a credit memo.

Make sure you have switched to the Salesforce Classic interface. Credit Memos won’t work in the Salesforce Lightning Experience.

Adding a Credit Memo

  1. Access FieldFX Back Office.

  2. Open the Credit Memos tab.

  3. Click New.

  4. Enter details.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Add credit memo items.

Applying a Credit Memo to an Invoice

  1. Access FieldFX Back Office.

  2. Open the Invoices tab.

  3. Open the invoice.

  4. Move down to the Credit Memo Applied related list.

  5. Click New Credit Memo Applied.

  6. In Credit Memo, select the credit memo.

  7. In Date, select the date on which to record this transaction.

  8. In Amount, select the amount to apply to this invoice.

  9. Click Save.

Completing a Credit Memo

  1. Add a credit memo.

  2. Add invoice items or price book items to the credit memo.

  3. Apply the credit memo to one or multiple invoices.
