Field Sets

Basics

When you use the Ticket Item Wizard to add multiple ticket items, you can select to enter details for those items.

To save time adding items of the same record type, add field sets for each record type on the Ticket Item object.

Field sets group related fields together and make the Ticket Item Wizard copy data from the first ticket item to subsequent items.

Example 1. Using field sets for date fields

If you usually enter the same start and end date for all labor ticket items, add the Date Start and Date End fields to a field set for the Labor record type. This means that once you enter the start and end date for the first labor item, these values copy to the other labor items.

Adding a Field Set

  1. Access FieldFX Back Office

  2. Switch to Salesforce Classic

  3. From Setup, enter "object" in the Quick Find box, then select Objects

  4. Click Ticket Item

  5. Under Field Sets, click New

  6. In Field Set Label, enter FX_XXX_Mobile_BulkEdit where XXX is the name of a ticket item record type

Example 2. Adding a field set for the Labor record type

Enter FX_Labor_Mobile_BulkEdit to add a field set for the Labor record type.

  7. In Where is this used, enter Ticket Item Wizard

  8. Click Save
