Quote Item Grid

Introduction

Use the Quote Item grid to manage quote items in FieldFX Mobile.

Prerequisites

To use the Quote Item grid, you need to:

Record Type Filters

Use the Record Type filters to filter the Quote Item grid by record type.

FX Header

When the FX Header is configured, the fields selected to display on it are identified on the Quote Details of a quote.

The expandable and collapsible FX Header displays at the top of the Quote Item grid of a quote. To expand the FX Header when it is collapsed, click the Header tab.

The FX Header displays the same preselected fields across all Record Type filters.

To collapse the FX Header when it is expanded, click the Header tab.

Items List

The Items list displays the items on the quote including the following:

Required Items

A red triangle displays next to required items.

Example

The 20 ton flatbed sandblast truck in this screenshot is required.

An item is required if the linked price book item has Required Item selected or the item is required by a rule. Required items get added automatically and can’t be deleted.

Parent & Child Items

The Items list groups parent and child items together. Child items are indented under the parent.

Child items get added automatically when you add their parent.

Sorting Items

The Items list changes based on the Record Type filter you select.

The default sort order is by sequence number.

You can use the Sort control to change the sort order:

  1. Select a field on the control to sort items based on entries in that field.

  2. Select the arrow on the control to toggle between ascending/descending order.

Locked Fields

Quote Item Fields can be controlled by a locking field, either default or custom locking fields.

If the locking field is True, you can’t edit the locked field.

Action Buttons

Use the action buttons to add, edit, and delete quote items:

Step-by-Step Guides

To start, open a quote in FieldFX Mobile and select Items on the sidebar.

With quote items, you can do:

  1. Select Quotes on the sidebar.

  2. Select the quote.

  3. Select Items on the sidebar.

  4. Select the items.

  5. Select Update button.

  6. Select the item or items to copy from the grid.

  7. Select Update icon.

    If there is a number in the corner of the icon, it is the number of selected items to copy.

  8. From the menu that appears, select Copy Action.

    The number of items you selected is shown below the actions.

    The new copied items appear on the grid already selected. You can edit them if needed.

Filter Quote Items in FX Mobile

  1. Select Quotes on the sidebar.

  2. Select the quote.

  3. Select Items on the sidebar.

  4. Select a Record Type filter.

Sort Quote Items in FX Mobile

  1. Select Quotes on the sidebar.

  2. Select the quote.

  3. Select Items on the sidebar.

  4. Select the Sort control.

  5. Select the field by which to sort the items.

    Select the arrow on the control to toggle between ascending/descending order.

Edit Data on the Quote Item Grid in FX Mobile

  1. Select Quotes on the sidebar.

  2. Select the quote.

  3. Select Items on the sidebar.

  4. Select Grid Edit.

  5. Select the field to edit.

    You will be notified which fields cannot be edited (because they are locked).

    You can’t edit:

    • The discount for items that have Locked Discount selected.

    • The price for items that have Locked Price/Markup selected.

  6. Enter new information.

  7. Select Grid Edit

Edit a Quote Item in FX Mobile

  1. Select Quotes on the sidebar.

  2. Select the quote.

  3. Select Items on the sidebar.

  4. Select the item.

  5. Make edits.

    You can’t edit:

    • The discount for items that have Locked Discount selected.

    • The price of items that have Locked Price/Markup selected.

  6. Select Save.

Edit Multiple Quote Items in FX Mobile

  1. Select Quotes on the sidebar.

  2. Select the quote.

  3. Select Items on the sidebar.

  4. Select the items to edit.

  5. Select Update button.

  6. Select Bulk Edit.

  7. Select the field to edit.

You can’t edit the discount for items that have Locked Discount selected or edit the price of items that have Locked Price/Markup selected.

  1. Enter new information.

  2. Select Green Check.

Apply Stage Pricing to Quote Items in FX Mobile

  1. Select Quotes on the sidebar.

  2. Select the quote.

  3. Select Items on the sidebar.

  4. Select items.

    You can’t apply stage pricing to items that have Locked Discount selected.
  5. Select Update button.

  6. Select Stage Price.

  7. In Total Stage Pricing, enter the price to charge for the items.

  8. Select Green save button.

    • The total price for the items is now the specified stage price.

    • The discount percentage of each item also updates.

    • To remove stage pricing, delete the items and then re-add them.

Delete Quote Items in FX Mobile

  1. Select the quote.

  2. Select Items on the sidebar.

  3. Select the items to delete.

    You can’t delete a quote item if the linked price book item is required by a rule or the linked price book item has Required Item selected.
    Child items get deleted automatically when you delete their parent item.
  4. Select Update button.

    If there is a number in the corner of the icon, it is the number of selected items to delete.

  5. Select Delete.

  6. Select DELETE.
