Copy Data from Quotes to Jobs

When you convert a quote into a job, data copies from the quote to the job.

Data only copies if fields on both the Quote and Job objects have the same:

  • Name

  • Data Type

  • Length

  • Decimal Places

Data copies between standard quote and job fields by default.

You can add custom fields to copy additional information between quotes and jobs.

When adding custom fields, make sure the fields have the same name, data type, length, and decimal places on both the Quote and Job objects.
