A FieldFX feature enhancing the Salesforce sharing settings so control of the syncable data can be controlled on a record by record basis. You can also create a checkbox at the Salesforce Object level.

Attachments are reports, images, and other files added to a record. The reports always go to Notes and Attachments. Images and other files can be set to sync or not sync to mobile devices. These files can sync over either the Chatter API or the Files API.

The Audit Log records sync activity in FieldFX Mobile. It is also records when users accept the FieldFX License Agreement or log out from FieldFX Mobile.

Auto Sync is a streamlined update to the Sync V4 process. Field user’s devices already automatically download data from the back office at intervals that vary by object. Auto Sync allows for a full two-way sync by automating the uploading of data to the back office, too.

A credit memo workflow tracks the status of credit memos.

The Credit Memo functionality in FieldFX has been deprecated. Contact your account representative for another solution.

An Edit page displays when you edit a record in FieldFX Back Office.

To make editing records easier, you can replace regular Edit pages with Custom Editors.

FieldFX features a number of standard fields that get installed with FieldFX packages.

You can add custom fields to extend standard functionality.

Use Deep Copy to add a new record by copying an existing record and its related items.

FieldFX Mobile is a HTML5 app accessible through a web browser or the FieldFX Windows Client.

FieldFX Mobile Pro is a mobile device app for accessing FieldFX Mobile mobile devices.

The FieldFX Windows Client is deprecated. Use the FieldFX Mobile Pro app instead.

An Apex class within the FX5 namespace that utilizes Salesforce’s Callable interface.

FXCallable provides one service: OverrideBatcher.

You can use FXL Bulk Edit to update multiple records in the data grid at once, except for the discount for items that have Locked Discount selected.

The FXL Copy Items Lightning Component is available to add for Data Grids on the following objects:

  • Price Book

  • Tickets

  • Invoices

  • Quotes

FXL Data Grid is a versatile record management tool in FieldFX Back Office when using Lightning Experience.

You can use the FXL Data Grid in much of the same way you use other spreadsheet applications to sort, filter, and edit records.

To create copies of a record with any related or child records, you can add the Deep Copy Lightning Component to any custom object. The Deep Copy Lightning Component feature is available for Lightning pages in FieldFX Back Office. Use Deep Copy to add a new record by copying an existing record and its related items.

The PDF reports displayed in the FXL Report Viewer when using Lightning Experience are live, meaning they are automatically refreshed when data on the underlying record is changed.

FXL Stage Pricing applies a fixed price to a collection of ticket or quote items in FieldFX Back Office when using Lightning Experience. You can use FXL Stage Pricing when using Lightning Experience if you bill customers separately for each stage of a job.

FX Forms are interactive forms. You can complete FX Forms to record details about a job or ticket.

FX Item Picker enables FieldFX Back Office users to find and select items from one sObject and add them to another sObject. You can also use the FX Item Picker in the Lightning version.

Use the Inline Help feature to provide guidance for users when they complete fields.

The Invoice Item Builder is an invoice management tool in FieldFX Back Office.

This feature has been deprecated and is no longer supported. You should switch to the Lightning Experience and use the tools FieldFX has there instead.

The Inventory Tracking feature tracks the on hand quantity of items stored at warehouses.

An invoice workflow tracks the status of invoices.

Use Job Copy to add a new job by copying an existing job.

A job workflow tracks the status of jobs.

A job stores information about work performed for a customer.

When you add a job, you can add tickets to record the specific work carried out.

Lookups are fields that feature a Search window to make selecting records easier.

  • Delete quote items

A release channel hosts a version of FieldFX Mobile. FieldFX by ServiceMax, Inc. uses release channels to roll out FieldFX Mobile updates. There are eight release channels; four that use Sync 4.0 and four that use Sync 3.0.

A report template controls when an FX Reports is available for use.

Use rich text area fields to embed photos inline inside records.

Rollup summary fields display calculated values from related records.

Use a rollup summary field to display the number of tickets on a job.

The Rule Engine features a series of rules.

There are two types of rule:

  • Quote rules - build quotes automatically.

  • Ticket rules - build tickets automatically.

Rules run when you add or update a record.

Schedule & Dispatch is a module in FieldFX that is a resource management app. It runs within FieldFX Back Office.

With Schedule & Dispatch you can schedule jobs, dispatch a crew or multiple crews to one or more jobs, and also dispatch equipment to one or more jobs.

Single sign-on (SSO) allows users to log in to FieldFX using their domain credentials.

This saves the need for users to have numerous login credentials for devices and applications.

The Stage Pricing feature applies a fixed price to a collection of quote items or ticket items.

Use the Stage Pricing feature if you bill customers separately for each stage of a job.

Multiple factors determine whether a record syncs to a user’s device.

The Sync Engine is one of the most important features in the FieldFX product suite.

The Sync Engine synchronizes data between FieldFX Mobile and FieldFX Back Office.

The Sync Health Board displays real-time metrics about Sync Engine performance.

The Sync Simulator displays a real-time snapshot of the data and attachments that sync to FieldFX Mobile for a user.

This gives you intelligent insight into what users are syncing and helps you identify bottlenecks that are affecting Sync Engine performance.

A ticket workflow tracks the status of tickets.

Tiles are a display feature in FieldFX Mobile that show information about items in lists.

Modifying the terminology on screen or translating it for additional languages can take place in multiple places in Salesforce and FieldFX, depending on the type of content.
