Receiving Transfer Requests

Introduction

Receiving Transfer Requests are records transfer items that have come in from another Warehouse. They increase the inventory at the receiving Warehouse.

Key Features

  • Receipting inventory:

    • Reduces On Order quantity

    • Increases On Hand Qty

    • Generates Accounting Detail:

      • Debits the receiving Warehouse’s Inventory Balance GL Account

      • Credits the supplying Warehouse’s InterWarehouse Transfers GL Account

This offsets the entry in the supplying warehouse’s InterWarehouse Transfers GL Account during an accounting end-of-period closing.
