Login Settings

Prerequisites

To configure Login settings, you need the following:

  • System permissions:

    • Customize Application

    • View Setup and Configuration

Enabling Administrators to Log In as Users

  1. Access FieldFX Back Office

  2. Switch to Salesforce Classic

  3. From Setup, enter "login access" in the Quick Find box, then select Login Access Policies

  4. Select Administrators Can Log In as Any User

  5. Click Save

Setting Security Policies for Login Passwords

  1. Access FieldFX Back Office

  2. Switch to Salesforce Classic

  3. From Setup, enter "password" in the Quick Find box, then select Password Policies

  4. Make the following entries:

    1. In User passwords expire in, select the number of days after creating a password that users must create a new password

    2. In Enforce password history, select the number of new passwords that users must create before they can reuse a previous password

    3. In Minimum password length, select the minimum number of characters allowed for passwords

    4. In Password complexity requirement, select the types of characters that users must include in passwords

    5. In Password question requirement, select whether users can enter their password in the answers to password hint questions

    6. In Maximum invalid login attempts, select the number of login failures at which to lock users out

    7. In Lockout effective period, select how long to lock out users after they reach the maximum number of invalid login attempts.

  5. Click Save

Setting Trusted Networks

When you set trusted networks, users can access FieldFX from those networks without having to activate their devices and enter verification codes.

  1. Access FieldFX Back Office

  2. Switch to Salesforce Classic

  3. From Setup, enter "network" in the Quick Find box, then select Network Access

  4. Click New

  5. Enter the IP address(es) for the trusted network

  6. In Description, enter details to identify the network

  7. Click Save
