Preventative Maintenance Schedule Setup

Preventative maintenance schedules set the maintenance intervals for equipment and feature criteria that determine when to perform maintenance.

You must add a preventative maintenance schedule for every piece of equipment you need to maintain.

Adding a Preventative Maintenance Schedule

  1. Open the Work Orders tab.

  2. Open a work order template.

  3. Add a preventative maintenance schedule:

    1. Under Preventative Maintenance Schedules, click New Preventative Maintenance Schedule

    2. Select IsActive

    3. In Description, enter the reason for the maintenance

    4. In Equipment, select the equipment requiring the maintenance

    5. In Grouping Operator, select:

      • AND to require maintenance if all criteria for the preventative maintenance schedule are met

      • OR to require maintenance if any of the criterion for the preventative maintenance schedule is met

    6. Click Save.

  4. Add criterion for the preventative maintenance schedule:

    • Add a Date Criterion
      Complete the following to schedule an oil change every six months

      1. Under Preventative Maintenance Criteria, click New Preventative Maintenance Criterion

      2. In Effective Date, select the date from which to make the criterion valid

      3. In Expiration Date, select the expiration date for the criterion

      4. In Calendar Interval, enter the interval at which to apply the criterion

      5. In Calendar UOM, select the date interval at which to apply the criterion

      6. In Operator, select an operator to specify when to apply the criterion

      7. Click Save & New

    • Add a Value Criterion
      Complete the following to schedule an oil change every 3000 miles

      1. Under Preventative Maintenance Criteria, click New Preventative Maintenance Criterion

      2. In Effective Date, select the date from which to make the criterion valid

      3. In Expiration Date, select the expiration date for the criterion

      4. In Operator, select an operator to specify when to apply the criterion.

      5. In Target Field, enter the API name of the field on which to apply the criterion

      6. In Value, enter the value to use for the criterion

      7. Click Save
