Geolocation Fields
Basics
Geolocation fields identify a location by its latitude and longitude.
Use geolocation fields to track the exact location of work completed in the field.
How it Works
Select the map marker icon in a geolocation field…

…to enter your current location.

Select the map icon to view the specified location in Google Maps.

Notes:
-
The map icon displays if you are online.
-
The map icon displays even if you are viewing a read-only record.
Depending on the hardware, devices may need an internet/network connection to record geolocations. |
Best Practices
To ensure field employees record site locations for jobs, add a geolocation field to the Job object and make it required.
