Adding a User
Step-by-Step Guide

Add a user record:
-
From Setup, enter "manage users" in the Quick Find box, then select Users
-
Click New User
-
Enter the user’s name and email address
-
In User License, select "Salesforce Platform"
-
In Role, select a role
-
In Profile, select a user profile
-
In Mobile Version, select a release channel for the user if they need access to FieldFX Mobile
-
Under Locale Settings, select applicable options
-
Select Generate new password and notify user immediately
-
Click Save
-

Assign permission sets:
-
Under Permission Set Assignments, click Edit Assignments
-
Add permission sets to Enabled Permission Sets
-
Click Save

Assign user licenses:
-
Under Managed Packages, click Assign Licenses

Select FieldFX Base Package
-
Select licenses
-
Click Add

Configure sharing settings to grant the user access to records

Open the user record

Resetting a User’s Login Password

From Setup, enter "manage users" in the Quick Find box, then select Users

Click Reset Password

Click OK
Resetting All Login Passwords

From Setup, enter "expire" in the Quick Find box, then select Expire All Passwords

Select Expire All User Passwords

Click Save
Unlocking a User
Freezing a User
Freeze a user record if an employee takes a leave of absence. This prevents unauthorized usage of the user record while the employee is away.

From Setup, enter "manage users" in the Quick Find box, then select Users
-
Open the user record
-
Click Freeze
Deactivating a User
If you terminate an employee, deactivate their user record to prevent them from accessing FieldFX.

From Setup, enter "manage users" in the Quick Find box, then select Users
-
Open the user record
-
Click Freeze
-
Click Edit
-
Deselect Active
-
Click OK
-
Click Save
