Use the Work Order page to add and update work orders in FieldFX Mobile.

Getting There

Working with a Work Order


  1. The left navigation bar provides the following functions:

    Button Action


    View ticket information


    Add/View work task


    Add/View attachments


    View explanations of key features

  2. Select the X to clear the entry in a field.

  3. Gray fields cannot be edited in FieldFX Mobile.

  4. White fields can be selected to modify, if the user’s permissions allow.

  5. The card icon indicates a lookup or date field. When selected a help screen displays a calendar or search screen as appropriate.

  6. Select the pin icon to add the user’s geolocation information, if available from the device.

  7. Select the timer icon in a date field to automatically populate the field with the current date.



Use the walkthrough to view explanations of buttons and controls available on the current screen.

Using the Walkthrough

To display the walkthrough, select the help question mark button on the sidebar.

To move through the explanations of each feature, select Prev or Next.

To close the walkthrough, select End tour.

Customizing Walkthrough Text

Administrators can customize the text that displays in the walkthrough messages to conform to your processes and language.

In addition to text, the walkthrough can display images, PDFs, and videos available from a static URL.

Each stop can display multiple slides.
