Equipment Planning

Introduction

The Equipment Planning features gives you the ability to dispatch equipment to jobs.

When you dispatch equipment to a job, you can:

  • Add the equipment to tickets for the job

  • Add equipment planning to reports in Report Templates by referencing FX5__Job_Equipment__c

How Equipment Planning Works

Steps to dispatch equipment:

  1. Add equipment planning records for a job.

  2. Use the FXL Ticket Scheduling Component and add the Ticketing Scheduling Component.

  3. To add dispatched equipment to a ticket, use the FX5__Equipment_Planning__c API Object to add the equipment.

Step-by-Step Guides

You can do these tasks:

Dispatch Equipment to a Job

  1. Access FieldFX Back Office.

  2. Open the Jobs tab.

  3. Open the job.

  4. Under Equipment Planning, click New Equipment Planning.

  5. In Price Book Item, select the price book item for the equipment.

  6. Select a start and end date for the equipment.

  7. Click Save & New.

  8. Repeat these steps to dispatch equipment for another job.

  9. Click Save to finish.

View Equipment Dispatched to a Job

  1. Access FieldFX Back Office.

  2. Open the Jobs tab.

  3. Open the job.

  4. Move down to the Equipment Planning section.

Remove Equipment from a Job

  1. Access FieldFX Back Office.

  2. Open the Jobs tab.

  3. Open the job.

  4. Move down to the Equipment Planning section.

  5. Click Del next to the equipment.

  6. Click OK.

Add Dispatched Equipment to a Ticket

You can add dispatched equipment to a ticket either in FieldFX Back Office or FieldFX Mobile.

FieldFX Back Office

Use the FXL Ticket Scheduling Component on the Ticketing Scheduling Component Page in Lightning and add the Ticketing Scheduling Component.

To add dispatched equipment to a ticket, use the FX5__Equipment_Planning__c API Object to add the equipment.

FieldFX Mobile

  1. Access FieldFX Back Office.

  2. Select Tickets on the sidebar.

  3. Select the ticket.

  4. Select Items on the sidebar.

  5. Select Add.

  6. Select Scheduled Equipment.

  7. Select equipment.

  8. Select Add.

    Green plus add button
  9. Enter details before saving.
