Log into FieldFX Mobile

Prerequisites

To setup and use FieldFX Mobile, you need to:

Download the FieldFX Mobile Pro app for your device.

For more information, including how to install or login for your device, see FieldFX Mobile Pro.
If you are an Admin, do not assign FieldFX mobile users the System Administrator profile in back office.

Production vs. Sandbox

A Production org is where you use FieldFX to manage field operations.

A Sandbox org is where you test new features, experiment with configurations, and train users.

  • You need different URLs to access your Production and Sandbox orgs.

Best Practices

App Shortcuts

Multiple Tabs or Windows

  • Don’t open multiple tabs or windows in your web browser when using FieldFX Mobile.

  • When you open a new tab or window, you can’t use FieldFX Mobile in the last tab or window.

Android Devices

Access Production or Sandbox

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. Access the production or sandbox URL:

    Production:

    Sandbox:

    https://www.fieldfx.com/

    https://sandbox.fieldfx.com/

  3. Enter your login credentials:

    1. For Production, enter your login credentials.

    2. For Sandbox, enter your username followed by the Sandbox name.

      Example 1. A possible username for a sandbox named s1.

      Enter asmith@isp.com.s1 if the name of your sandbox is s1.

  4. Select Login.

Select Accept if the license agreement displays.

Creating a Homescreen Shortcut

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. Access the production or sandbox URL:

    Production:

    Sandbox:

    https://www.fieldfx.com/

    https://sandbox.fieldfx.com/

  3. Touch the Bookmark icon in the address bar.

  4. Touch EDIT on the confirmation message.

    A confirmation message displays at the bottom of the page.

  5. Complete the following:

    For Production…​ For Sandbox…​

    Name:

    FieldFX Mobile

    Name:

    FieldFX Mobile Sandbox

    URL:

    https://www.fieldfx.com

    URL:

    https://sandbox.fieldfx.com

  6. Close the Edit bookmark window.

  7. Open the Chrome menu and select Bookmarks.

  8. Select the FieldFX Mobile or the FieldFX Mobile Sandbox bookmark.

  9. As quickly as you can, open the Chrome menu and select Add to homescreen.

  10. Change the Title of the bookmark:

    • Production: FieldFX Mobile

    • Sandbox: FieldFX Mobile Sandbox

  11. Touch Add.

    A shortcut now displays on the Homescreen.

iOS Devices

  1. Complete one of the following:

  2. Use the Production or Sandbox URL:

    • iOS 11 or later
      Open Safari and go to https://www.fieldfx.com/.

    • iOS 10
      Open the FieldFX Mobile web clip on the Home screen.

  3. If Production, enter your login credentials.
    If Sandbox, enter your username followed by the Sandbox name.

    Example 2. A possible username for a sandbox named s1.

    Enter asmith@isp.com.s1 if the name of your sandbox is s1.

  4. Enter your login password.

  5. Select Login.

Select Accept if the license agreement displays.

Creating a Web Clip

Web clips are not supported on devices running iOS 11 or later.

  1. Open Safari.

  2. Access either the production or sandbox URL.

    Production:

    Sandbox:

    https://www.fieldfx.com/

    https://sandbox.fieldfx.com/

  3. Tap Share.

  4. Tap Add to Home Screen.

  5. Name the icon:

    Production:

    Sandbox:

    FieldFX Mobile

    FieldFX Mobile Sandbox

  6. Tap Add.

    A web clip now displays on the Homescreen.

Windows Devices

Access Production or Sandbox

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. Go to the production or sandbox URL:

    Production:

    Sandbox:

    https://www.fieldfx.com/

    https://sandbox.fieldfx.com/

  3. If logging into production, enter your production login credentials.

  4. If logging into a sandbox, enter your username followed by the Sandbox name.

  5. Select Login

    You can also use the FieldFX Windows Client on laptops

    Enter asmith@isp.com.s1 if the name of your sandbox is s1.

    Select Accept if the license agreement displays
