Use the Quote page to add and update quotes in FieldFX Mobile.

Quote Breadcrumbs

The Quote breadcrumbs display at the top of the page.

  • Select FX to open the Home page.

  • Select Quotes to open the Quote Search page.

  • Select the tracking number to open the Details tab on the Quote page.

Quote Status Indicator

  • The Quote Status indicator displays the quote’s status.

  • Select the indicator to view the next status in the quote workflow.

  • To change the status, choose a status and select Proceed.

Walkthrough

Basics

Use the walkthrough to view explanations of buttons and controls available on the current screen.

Using the Walkthrough

To display the walkthrough, select the help question mark button on the sidebar.

To move through the explanations of each feature, select Prev or Next.

To close the walkthrough, select End tour.

Customizing Walkthrough Text

Administrators can customize the text that displays in the walkthrough messages to conform to your processes and language.

In addition to text, the walkthrough can display images, PDFs, and videos available from a static URL.

Each stop can display multiple slides.

Step-by-Step Guides

On the Quotes screen in FX Mobile, you can:

Add a Quote

  1. In FX Mobile, you can select Start a New Quote on the Home page.

  2. Click the Quote icon on the sidebar.

  3. Click the blue + circle to start a new quote.

  4. Select a new Quote type from:

    • Delivery Quote

    • Field Quote

    • Rental Quote

    • Trucking Quote

      FieldFX has deprecated the FX Trucking module as of December 2023. If you have further questions, contact your FieldFX Account Representative.

  5. Enter the quote details.

    Fields with a red bar are required.
    1. Select an Price Book by clicking in the field and using the Search bar in the Price Book screen.
      The office name appears in the Price Book field.

    2. Click on the Customer field and then use the Search bar to find the customer’s name.

    3. Select an Office by clicking in the field.

      • At the Office screen:

        • Use the Search bar, enter a name and press Enter to search.

          See Quote Search Page for more information.

        • Select from the matching list.

          The office name appears in the Office field.

    4. In the Segment field, click the field and use the drop down list to select a segment.

      The segment’s name appears in the field.

    5. Finish entering the Quote details.

    6. Click the Finish button to complete.

      The finished job appears.

  6. You can use the sidebar icons to navigate through the job.

Add Quote Items

  1. Select Quotes on the sidebar.

  2. Select the quote.

  3. Select Items on the sidebar.

  4. Select Blue add button.

  5. Select a record type.

  7. Select Green add button.

Convert a Quote into a Job

  1. Open an existing quote.

  2. Click the Items icon on the sidebar.

  3. To create a job, click Create Job Add Job button.

  4. Select a job type from the list. You can select from:

    Job Types can be defined in the Job Type Setup.

  5. Enter the job details.

    Fields with a red bar must be completed.
  6. To add the job, click the Save Job Add button.

  7. You can also attach tickets, forms, or files to the job.

Change a Quote Status

  1. Open an existing quote.

  2. In the Quote Status area, click the quote’s status.

  3. Click on the status indicator and select another status.

    The status' shown depend on the current status of the quote you have open.

  4. Depending on the status you selected, a confirmation box appears. You can either PROCEED to the next step or CANCEL the operation.

    The quote’s status indicator changes to the new status and could be read-only.

    The quote could also not be displayed in FX Mobile when the next sync occurs.

Attach a Report to a Quote

You can attach a report to a quote:

  1. Open an existing quote.

  2. Select the Report icon.

  3. Click the Add Report Add button.

  4. Select a report in the list to the left.

    When you click on a report, a preview of the report appears with the quote details.

  5. To add a digital signature to the report, see Capture a Signature.

  6. To attach the report, click Add button.

  7. If you want to print the report,

    1. Make sure the device is connected to a printer.

    2. Click the Print icon.

  8. To finish, click Save icon.

    The report is attached to the report.

Date and Time Picker

You can use a new date and time picker to set the date and time. They won’t appear unless you toggle the Use the new date/time pickers toggle at the Home page.

Use New Date/Time Pickers

The old date/time pickers will be unavailable after 4/18/2023 and you’ll only be using the new date/time pickers.

You can switch between the date/time pickers by using the toggle slider Date/Time Picker toggle on the FX Mobile main page.

  1. Click on the date and either:

    • Use the pop-up calendar to select the date. For the current date, click TODAY.

    • Type in the desired date and enter the date in the MM/DD/YYYY format.

  2. To set a time, click on a Time field.

    You can use a new time picker to set the time. The new time picker won’t appear unless you toggle the Use the new date/time pickers toggle at the Home page.

    Click on the time and use the scroll bars to set the Hour and Minute.
