Lightning Page Templates
Basics
-
The FX5 Managed Package provides three custom page templates that can be used to build Lightning Experience Record type page layouts.
-
Users must have Lightning Experience enabled to see and use the page templates.
Key Features
-
The custom page templates provide collapsible header and sidebar page areas to allow users to show or hide additional information.
-
Page templates can be used for any Lightning record type pages.
-
Use any standard or custom Lightning components in the layouts when building the Lightning app page.
How It Works
Displaying and Hiding Page Sections
-
Users with Lightning Experience enabled see the page when viewing an appropriate record.
-
Once on the page, users can use the arrows by the header and sidebar(s) to collapse those sections and focus on the main content area. The header and sidebar(s) can be expanded at the user’s convenience by selecting the arrows again.
Users can select the collapse arrows on a sidebar or the header to hide the panels:
After collapsing a section, users can select the expand arrows to view the header or sidebar contents:
Expand the Main Section to Full Screen
-
Users can focus on the main page contents by clicking the Fullscreen button to expand the main panel on the page.
-
When selected, the main panel fills the entire browser window.
Salesforce navigation, the Salesforce Global Search box, app tabs, and other panels on the page are hidden after expanding the main panel. -
Select the Close Fullscreen button to return to the normal page view.
